La Chimera biography
Sabina Colonna Preti founded in 2001 the violin group La Chimera which, since first meeting with Eduardo Egüez and Quito Gato, immediately took a new form. While preserving its sound characteristic of the overall origin of violins, La Chimera became a group with a variable geometry made up of artists of international reputation. The focus of La Chimera concentrates on originals project creation where converge various forms of art with an intimate interest for the bonds that connect old world to the modern world. The first project of La Chimera, 'Buenos Aires Madrigal' was the subject of a recording CD in the series Early Fusion, accompanied by very well by international criticism. With its creation, with Puff out North (Paris), the spectacle gained an immense success. With Buenos Aires Madrigal, Chimera occurred in continuation in France (Opera of Lille, Millau, Villefranche-of-Rouergue, Rodez, Sarrebourg, Noirlac, Poitiers, Paris), in Belgium (Flawinne, Brussels, Liege), Italy (Teatro Ponchielli de Cremona), Luxembourg and in Spain (Gijòn and Bilbao). Buenos Aires Madrigal can be proposed in simple concert or in its version spectacle with video projection & dance. With its new project, Tonos there Tonadas, Chimera mixes with the musical and literary elements of the Spanish Baroque with the current Latin-American Folklore. This program was given in concert to Ancona (Italy), in Portugal (International festival of Music of Mafra), with the Auditorium Olivier Messiaen from Radio France to Paris and Lannion (Festival of Lanvellec).
