Mach Five biography
Mach Five is A.Ware (vocals/producer) and Corey Davis (vocals), an Alternative-rap duo residing in Atlanta, GA. They first crossed paths in high school where they discovered they both had origins in the Midwest and shared an affinity for all types of music. Inspired by the “Live fast, die young” under-tone of 1960’s animated series, Speed Racer, they created a unique sound that allows them express their feelings about pop culture, politics, life's troubles, and women. They released their first project, Stepchild EP, in 2008 and instantly attracted the attention of bloggers with the release of their first single "You and Me". Their buzz continued to grow as they performed at parties across Atlanta. Not too long after the release, A.ware began to work on his first solo project, Please Stand By, which caught the attention of A&R's across the Southeast. Mach Five finally released their first complete album, Sex on a Sunday LP, with indie label, White Light Records, at the tail end of 2009. Sex on a Sunday LP includes collaborations with producers from across the world, including DJ Donna Summer of Berlin. Also credited for their diverse marketing abilities, Mach Five found unique ways to promote their music. In the summer of (insert year here), Mach Five teamed up with Creative Loafing to put on the Atlanta Indie Fest, a large-scale music and arts festival designed to put a spotlight on the city's favorite local artist. Keeping up with social networking, Mach Five created one of Atlanta's most popular blogs, Greedmontpark.com, a pop culture blog which recieves more than a 1,000 hits a day. Mach Five has shared the stage with Pac Div, Big Sean, Micky factz, Colin Munroe, Killer Mike, B.o.B aka bobby Ray, Brittany Bosco, Hollyweerd, Donnis, Spree Wilson and many more.
