Quinteto Real The Quinteto Real was formed in 1960 with the simple aim of making instrumental tangos designed for listening rather than dancing with space to display the virtuoso playing of its members: * Horacio Salgán, piano; * Enrique Francini, violin; * Pedro Láurenz, bandoneón; * Ubaldo De Lío, guitar; * Rafael Ferro, double bass; This is one of the strongest small groups ever to play tango music. Salgán, Francini and Láurenz had all led tango orchestras in their own right and are synonymous with their instruments.
